Sheep’s Milk Yogurt

Cup set, thick, mild and custardy, Mohawk Drumlin Sheep's Milk Greek Yogurt is packaged in Glass Jars and comes in a variety of flavors: Plain, Honey-Vanilla and Maple. Maple Syrup is from local new season's sugaring, and Honey is from bees that forage on our own farm.

Mohawk Drumlin is building an aging cave to hold wheels of aged Pecorino for your enjoyment! Note: We will be exclusively producing yogurt for the 2017 season.

Laboratory Services

The Mohawk Drumlin Creamery Lab is licensed by the State of NY to perform the Direct Microscopic Count (DMC) for bacteria and by both the State of NY and the FDA to perform Appendix N tests for antibiotic residues in sheep, goat and cow milk. We are also equipped to do Standard Plate Counts and the Babcock Butterfat Test for informational purposes.

And, BIG NEWS!  Our new season’s yogurt, starting in January 2016 will be carried by Angello’s Distributing throughout New York’s Capitol District, Hudson River Valley Region and New York Metropolitan Area, in both the 16 and 8 oz glass jars.

 

MDC-Yogurt-Table-Display-2Angello’s distributes to Honest Weight Co-op in Albany, Sunflower Natural Foods in Woodstock, Whole Foods, and many other specialty food stores in New York, Northern New Jersey, Connecticut, Western Mass and Southern Vermont.

We will be doing in-store tastings of new products as they roll out.  Maple will be available with the new sugaring season.  Fruit-on-bottom varieties will be introduced as different fruits come into season on the Mohawk Drumlin Farm!  Check back for an events calendar and new stores.
